CLASS SCHEDULE
Do you wonder what the best way is to talk about adoption with your child? How do you help your child view adoption in a positive way? How and when should you share sensitive information with them? How can you maintain an open discussion about adoption with them?
In this seminar we'll discuss ways to talk with your child about adoption over the years. We will cover topics such as:
- Practicing what to say
- Telling your child their adoption story
- Sharing sensitive or negative information with your child (when and how)
- Age-appropriate techniques and topics
- Using "pebbles" to encourage ongoing communication
Families in waiting are invited to attend along with parents who already have children home. Come to share your experiences and to learn form others.
