- The National Adoption Information Clearinghouse,
from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is a great resource for all aspects
of adoption. Publishes fact sheets on adoption issues, directories of adoption-related
services and support groups, and intro packets for domestic and international adoption.
- North American Council on Adoptable Children has a database of local resources,
information about domestic adoption and adopting from foster care.
- Rainbow Kids
A website with links to various articles and agencies for international adoption.
This also has links to various online listservs and support groups.
- Ethica is a website that discusses issues regarding ethics in adoption.
- Inter-national Adoption Alliance
has articles pertaining to international adoption.
- Older Child Adoption
has resources for families interested in adopting older children.
- National Adoption Center
has links to educational materials, FAQs, etc., about domestic adoption.
- The Joint Council on International Children's Services
is an organization whose membership includes adoption agencies, child
welfare organizations, parent support groups and medical specialists with
an interest in intercountry adoption.
- United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
(USCIS; formerly BCIS; formerly INS) has downloadable forms and information needed for
international adoptions.
- Adoption Learning Partners
has several on-line courses related to becoming an adoptive family, including
