Attachment--the bond between a child and a parent--is crucially important to a child's
mental and emotional health. The losses that a child experiences in an adoption
can sometimes make it difficult for a child to attach to a new family.
In this seminar we will talk about what attachment is and how you can help facilitate
the attachment between you and your newly adopted child.

This course is designed to meet the following Wisconsin State Core Competency: IV. Understanding of Attachment Issues This class will count for 3 hours of training. To receive credit for the hours spent in this seminar, please request a Certificate of Completion from your instructor. The certificate will indicate the class topic, number of hours, and date of training. You are responsible for providing your agency with a copy of your training certificate. Refer to the Class Schedule for details about when this seminar is scheduled. |
