Adoption Services

Children and Families First, Inc., provides the following adoption-related services for individuals and couples residing in Wisconsin. Home Study and Pre-Adoption Preparation Services Children and Families First, Inc. is licensed to perform home studies for: International adoption. Children and Families First, Inc. provides home studies for families interested in adopting children from outside of the United States. Assistance is provided for completing the Citizen and Immigration Services' form I600A/I600, the Orphan Petition Application. Inter-state adoptions. Children and Families First, Inc. provides home studies for families wishing to adopt an African American or biracial child born in the United States but outside of the state of Wisconsin. Step-parent adoptions. Children and Families First, Inc. provides stepparent investigations for families residing in Dane, Jefferson, and Waukesha County. Post-Placement Services Children and Families First, Inc. also provides post-placement services that support adoptive families after the child is placed in the home. This includes preparing reports required by the sending country and the state of Wisconsin. Family Educational Programs A variety of educational programs are also provided through Children and Families First, Inc. Offerings include workshops on adoption-related topics as well as general parenting seminars.
